Magic Beat Bucks 108-105

From Sportsline.com:

With eight games left and the .500 mark miles away, it's hard to believe the Orlando Magic still have a mathematical shot at the playoffs.

They made a small case that they belong there Wednesday night, getting 24 points from Hedo Turkoglu and eking out a 108-105 win over sixth-seeded Milwaukee despite a dominating performance by guard T.J. Ford.

"It's a lesson for us. I hope we learn from it, because we've got better teams coming right now and we get the chance to get these kinds of leads, you know we have to keep them, because it's really hard to do against a good team," Turkoglu said.

Milwaukee is one-half game ahead of Indiana and 2½ games behind Washington for the fifth seed after those teams also won Wednesday. Trailing Philadelphia, Boston and Chicago for the eighth playoff spot, Orlando probably must win its remaining games -- including Detroit on Friday and San Antonio on the road next Thursday -- to have a real shot at making it.

Ford finished with a career-high 34 points, 11 assists and six rebounds, while Bucks star Michael Redd had 25 points and six rebounds.

Dwight Howard had 19 points and 17 rebounds, while Carlos Arroyo had 17 points and Keyon Dooling scored 14 -- 10 in the fourth quarter.

"Every game from here on out is important for the playoff race," Bucks coach Terry Stotts said. "I like the way we competed, and even though we got down, we battled back and took the lead."
