Brewers Blow It Against Astros 7-8

From Sportsline.com:

The suddenly heavy-hitting Houston Astros look nothing like they did at the beginning of last season when their offense was lackluster at the least and often downright dismal.

Jason Lane hit a three-run homer in Houston's five-run seventh inning to lift the Astros to an 8-7 come-from-behind win over the Milwaukee Brewers on Monday night.

It was the eighth time this season Houston has scored more than five runs in a game. Through 13 games last season the Astros had achieved the feat just once.

"It's really strange," Astros third baseman Morgan Ensberg said. "We're scoring runs and I don't know what to make of it. We definitely didn't do this this time last year. It's just a lot of fun and it's nice to see."

Back-to-back RBI-singles by Lance Berkman and Ensberg got the Astros within one before Lane hit his third homer deep into the left-field bleachers off Matt Wise to put Houston up 8-6.

Prince Fielder's RBI double in the eighth cut the lead to 8-7, but Dan Wheeler pitched out of further trouble, and Brad Lidge worked the ninth for his fourth save.
