Magic Lose to Bobcats 102-108

From Sportsline.com:

After the Orlando Magic set a dubious team record, coach Brian Hill indicated changes could be on the way.

Gerald Wallace scored 27 points and the Charlotte Bobcats sent the Magic to their team-record 16th straight road loss with a 108-102 victory on Tuesday night.

Raymond Felton added 16 points and 13 assists and Primoz Brezec scored 22 for the second-year Bobcats, who snapped a four-game losing streak and won their 19th game, one more than all of last year.

Hedo Turkoglu scored 24 points and Dwight Howard had 17 points and 15 rebounds for the Magic, who never led. Orlando, which hasn't won on the road since Jan. 26 at Philadelphia, broke the team record for consecutive road defeats set in the 1989-90 season.

"I'm embarrassed by our performance," Hill said. "I hope our players are because they should be. The way we played proved we didn't respect the game or the team. We just went through the motions."

The Magic cut a 20-point second-quarter deficit to 99-95 on Keyon Dooling's jumper with 1:35 left. But Jumaine Jones, who has hit at least one 3-pointer in 31 straight games, hit his third 3 on the next possession to make it 102-95.

"You can't play one half of basketball and expect to win. You can't spot a team a 20-point lead," Hill said. "I'm going to have to decide whether we want to play the same people. The team we put out there tonight didn't want to play. If they don't want to play, we have to put someone else out there that does."
