Ned Yost to Coach in All-Star Game

Brewers manager Ned Yost boldly predicted Wednesday that his slumping Brewers would have at least two All-Stars. Turns out he was trading on insider information.

Yost received a call Tuesday from Cardinals skipper Tony La Russa and accepted an invitation to coach the National League squad in the July 12 Midsummer Classic. LaRussa, who will serve as the NL manager, also tabbed Giants manager Felipe Alou as a coach.

Because every team gets at least one player representative, the Brewers will have at least two All-Stars for the fourth straight year.
